Fast Means Different — By Design
Rush Order Pins are built for one thing: getting your pins delivered on time when deadlines matter.
To make that possible, they are produced using a different process than traditional metal pins. This allows us to manufacture and ship in days instead of weeks.
What They Look Like
At a glance, Rush Order Pins look very similar to traditional enamel pins.
- Clean, vibrant color
- Smooth, glossy finish
- Custom shapes with sharp detail
Most people cannot tell the difference without holding them side by side.
What They’re Made Of
Rush Order Pins are made from a durable composite material (primarily plastic) and may include a thin metal surface depending on the design.
- Metal appearance on the surface (where applicable)
- Lightweight and durable construction
- Strong, securely affixed pin backing
They are not solid metal pins and do not have engraved or raised metal lines like traditional enamel pins.
Why They’re Made This Way
Traditional pins require molds, tooling, and multiple production steps. That process takes time.
Rush Order Pins use a faster method:
- Laser-cut to your custom shape
- UV printed for full-color detail
- No molds or dies required
This allows us to produce custom pins in a fraction of the time.
What They Can (and Can’t) Do
Rush Order Pins are ideal for:
- Tight deadlines
- Events, tournaments, and promotions
- Full-color designs and logos
They are not designed for:
- Raised metal detailing
- Specialty add-ons (spinners, danglers, etc.)
- Premium metal finishes
These features require standard production timelines.
If You Need Traditional Metal Pins
We offer fully metal options such as:
These require standard production time (typically weeks, not days).
Attachment & Backing Requirements
All Rush Order Pins include a securely affixed pin post and backing.
To ensure durability, a minimum flat area on the back of the pin (approximately 11mm in diameter) is required to properly attach the post and clutch or magnet.
- Very small sizes, narrow shapes, or designs with multiple cutout areas may not provide enough space
- In these cases, minor design adjustments or size increases may be required
- This ensures the backing is secure and functions properly
Our team will review your design and notify you if any adjustments are needed.
See examples of backing types below.
The Bottom Line
- Rush Order Pins = Speed and flexibility
- Traditional Pins = Metal construction and longer production
Both serve a purpose. The right choice depends on your deadline.
Still Not Sure?
If material matters more than speed, choose standard pins.
If your deadline matters more than anything else, Rush Order Pins are built for that.
